Wayne Lynch is an absolute core-lord. A lot of us think of the professional freesurfer/shaper as a modern-day construct, but Wayne has been doing this since the ’60s, pioneering the shortboard revolution through personal experimentation with all kinds of equipment in all kinds of waves. He has been a huge inspiration to us with his fearless approach to seeking out heavy waves, often solo and in super-remote locations. In fact, Phil and John Simon coined the term WWWD—“What Would Wayne Do?”—after watching Wayne’s 2013 biopic, Uncharted Waters, as a reminder to face uncomfortable situations and our fears head-on. You can watch the film in it's entirely below.

Last year, we reached out to Wayne about coming over here for a shaping residency. He politely declined due to a long list of obligations at home, but offered to ship over some shaped blanks—which, in our minds, was the next best thing.

He sent over a stack of customs along with a small batch of stock boards, and everyone, ourselves included, was super stoked with how it all came together.

With only a couple of those boards left, we’re ready to kick off round two. So, if you missed out on the first round of customs, drop us a line and let’s get you on something extra special from one of the most important and influential core lords in modern surfing.

If you're looking to get your hands on one, shoot us a note or drop a deposit by clicking the photo below, and we'll get you sorted.
